Cottonwood Lake is the newest, single family housing water development in Southeastern Indiana. Located 5 miles south of Greensburg, the 30 acre lake is built with the high standards of the DNR, IDEM and Army Corp of Engineers.
The building lots, which are densely wooded, will be a minimum of 1.5 acres in size with water frontage. The dam is approximately 1400 feet in length and 60 feet high, it contains a bay with three coves.
Because it is the intention of the developers to preserve the serenity that is already in place, the subdivision and lake has a strict set of covenants that are intended to protect those wanting a peaceful and relaxing spot to build their dream home.
The lake will be for quiet relaxation and will be limited to an idle zone.
Due to the high cost of such a project and the limiting federal guidelines that are intended for environmental protection, Cottonwood Lake could quite possibly become one of the last major lake developments to be built in southeastern Indiana in your lifetime.
